Fast-Forwarding Projects While Reducing Risk
BLVD has built a proven approach that allows us to successfully deploy utility location services across a broad and growing range of industries. Thanks to an established track record and our ability to quickly mobilize to markets, once our customers work with us once, we’re already tackling their next project.

Telecom

We’re performing highly accurate, efficient utility location services for fast-moving FTT(x) and wireless deployments across the nation leveraging proven experience and best-in-class tools.

Project Spotlight:

GPR-Led Utility Location for Global Telecom Network Design-Build-Operations Company.

Scope: Perform utility location services for a multi-year telecom project in the Greater Las Vegas area.

Methodology: The sweeping effort involves reducing potholing in favor of GPR technology, with the goal of eliminating unintentional utility strikes and accelerating timelines. This, in turn, involves meeting and performing demos with multiple utility stakeholders to effectively create buy-in for this evolved approach.

Status: One year into the project, BLVD has completed 100+ miles of utility ROW investigation prior to Microtrenching — increasing CX production by 40%.

“We’ve had a good experience with them,” the client’s Director for Government & Community Affairs said. “BLVD has helped me out quite a bit and has been very responsive. They make sure we have everything we need.”

And ultimately, the client’s characterization of the project’s success checks the two most important boxes for BLVD:

Other Projects:

  • EV Charging: With a predicted CAGR of 34% through 2032, EV charging stations require accurate, expedited utility location — and lots of it. BLVD is playing its part to make these a ubiquitous presence from coast to coast — more than 500 locations and counting.

  • Renewables: From providing utility location services for solar to wind farms, BLVD is doing its part to lead the renewable energy transformation across the United States — collecting data from 18,000+ miles for wind farms projects and investigating 10,250+ acres for solar generation sites.

  • Scope: Perform 300+ miles of utility data collection, including 120+ miles of access roads and 400+ turbines with a 150’-ft. radius
  • Result: Identified 500+ utilities — including 80 lines that were previously unknown to the developer

  • Scope: Scanned ground disturbance areas for unknown utilities across 800-acre project boundary
  • Result: Identified 20+ utilities through ground mount areas — preventing utility strikes during pylon installation
